This standard covers the requirements for the rubber type heat-reactive sealer (hereinafter referred to as ‘sealer') used for joining, or filling openings in, vehicle body panels to protect panels from water and dust intrusion.
The sealer is a paste mainly composed of rubber, with additives such as mineral fillers. The sealer is cured by heat in paint coating processes.
